Hamilton police revive man from overdose before arresting him

Hamilton police arrested a 33-year-old man for violating a court order shortly after reviving him from an overdose Tuesday.

Police were called to a business near Barton and Lottridge streets for a suspected overdose.

Officers administered Naloxone to an unconscious man, who was revived and on his feet within minutes.

Upon learning the man’s identity, police discovered that he was violating a court order and placed him under arrest.

The following items were found in his belongings:

  • 23 grams of fentanyl
  • 137 dextroamphetamine pills
  • A pellet gun, loaded with 12 steel pellets
  • A quantity of money indicative of drug trafficking

The man was charged with failure to comply with a release order, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
