The Hamilton Police Officer who cracked the case in the murder of an 82-year old Hamilton man was on the stand today at Loujack Café’s trial. She testified as to how she made the connection that led to Café’s arrest after finding some information on line.

The Hamilton officer used a fake Facebook profile to access Loujack cafés FB page where he used the name Seville. It was there that she discovered pictures that police used to tie him to the murder.

The jury was also shown Cafés cell phone records from Sept 4th, the last day George Burnett was seen alive and there was a 40 minute gap where he didn’t make any calls or send any texts. Then he made 3 data uploads from his phone to his hotmail account.

In that account police found a picture of the bottom of a pair of shoes that they believe match a bloody footprint found in Burnetts kitchen and a picture that looked like the one police took of Burnett the night they found him dead.

Burnett had been stabbed more than 40 times. No DNA evidence was found at the scene
