A Hamilton police officer has been charged for falsely signing administrative documents.

42- year-old Darren Smith, an 18 year member of the force, has been suspended from duty and is scheduled to appear in court on July 18.

He is charged with forged documents x2 and use of forge documents x2.

Hamilton police say the incidents happened between November 30, 2017 and July 22, 2018.
