Hamilton Police are asking for help identifying two men involved in a collision on James St. South last month.

The crash happened on Nov. 5 around 6 p.m., near James St. S and Charlton Ave.

Police say the drivers pulled off the road to exchange information.

The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, a black Mercedes Benz sedan, got out of the vehicle and began talking to the other driver.

Police say that other driver took photos of the damage to both vehicles and the licence plate of the Mercedes. They say this upset the two men, who then assaulted the man, chased him and stole his phone.

The victim had minor injuries.

Detectives are asking the public for help to identify the men involved in the assault and theft.

The driver is described as having black hair, an athletic build and was about 5’8″ tall. He was wearing a black jacket, blue collared shirt and dark, slim fit jeans.

The passenger is said to be taller than the driver with a slim build. He was wearing a light brown jacket or sweater with a scarf and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-546-3821.
