The disappearance of a Hamilton man is now being investigated as a murder.

The body of Daniel Baffoh has not yet been recovered, but Hamilton police say they’ve determined he was murdered.

45 year old Mark Languille of Hamilton has been charged with first degree murder. His son, 22 year old Damian Lenguille, has been charged with accessory after the fact.

In a statement given to CHCH reporter Brittany Gogo, Baffoh’s family said: “Daniel was well loved by all. We will miss him dearly.”

Police say they believe Baffoh’s body was disposed of in a river or pond, possibly in the Grand River. They are asking residents living along the Grand River to be vigilant as the ice melts and to keep an eye out for any signs of a body.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
