Hamilton police investigating commercial break-in caught on camera

Hamilton police are investigating a break-in and theft at a commercial property in the early morning hours on Sunday.
The owner of the property says that two people can be seen in security footage stealing from his tenants’ unit at 227 James St. North around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

He says that the thieves stole tools and a laptop among other possessions all while cutting the lines of some of the property’s camera systems.
Hamilton police have confirmed that a crime was reported and say that someone had broken the locks on the door to gain access.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers ask that anyone with information regarding the incident contact police or crime stoppers.
