Hamilton Police investigating after dog robbery attempt

Hamilton Police are investigating a robbery attempt that took place on Beach Blvd. Monday night.

Reports say at around 9:00 p.m., an unknown man approached a woman who was walking her dogs in the area.

The man asked her for her pet and she refused.

He then assaulted her while attempting to steal her dogs and ran away after not being able to gain control.

Police say the victim received minor injuries as a result.

The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old white man wearing a baseball cap and a dark-coloured jacket at the time of the incident.
