Hamilton police investigate the city’s second murder of the year

Hamilton police are investigating the city’s second murder of the year.

Police say they were called to check on a suspicious death in the area of Lottridge Street and Landsdowne Avenue on Monday. They found the man in a tent near the rail tracks.

Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Stanley Gordon Waite from Hamilton.

An autopsy is being performed today at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto. Police are not looking for any other suspects. The cause of death is not being released.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Devon Pastoric and charged him with second-degree murder. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
