Hamilton police investigate stabbing on New Year’s Eve

Hamilton police are investigating after a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the city’s east end on New Year’s Eve.

Officers say it happened around 1:30 p.m. outside of the Tim Hortons on Cannon Street East near Sanford Avenue North.

Paramedics brought the man to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say there is no suspect description at this time.
