Hamilton police investigate shots fired on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police are investigating reports of shots being fired Sunday morning in a Hamilton Mountain neighbourhood.

Officers say they responded to reports of shots being fired just before 5 a.m., in the area of Concession and East 33rd Streets.

Detectives say they quickly secured the area, but did not find any victims or suspects after searching for anyone involved in the shooting.

Investigators confirm several shots were fired.

They are asking residents of the area for video between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. for suspicious activity, or dash camera footage to contact investigators by calling 905-546-4883 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or or by submitting anonymous tips online at http://www.crimestoppershamilton.com.
