Hamilton police investigate shooting threat at Bennetto, Dr. J. E. Davey

Two more schools in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board have issued warnings about a threat.

Bennetto and Dr. J. E. Davey elementary schools said Monday there was a threat of a school shooting written on the bathroom wall.

Hamilton police have been notified and are investigating both incidents.

At least 12 schools in Hamilton have received threats over the past two weeks, including:

• Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School;
• Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School (twice);
• Cootes Paradise Elementary School;
• Hillcrest Elementary School;
• Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School;
• St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School (twice);
• St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School;
• St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School;
• and Westdale Secondary School.
