Hamilton police are investigating after someone spray-painted words, including profanity, throughout Dundas Driving Park.

It happened sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.

A number of areas were vandalized including the pavement, walls, and pillars of the main pavilion at the park.

The city of Hamilton was notified about the graffiti Wednesday morning and sent out a crew to clean up the paint.

The city also informed Hamilton police about the incident and an officer was assigned to follow-up.

“The decision was made by the City to remove the graffiti quickly due to the offensive nature and the park being in use,” said Cst. Lorraine Edwards. “When police arrived the graffiti had already been removed by city workers. Photographs were taken by a city worker and later shared with police.”

Officers continue to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton police.
