Police say a woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant following a disturbance at a medical centre in central Hamilton.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to Urban Core Health Centre at 71 Rebecca St.

A 34-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was taken to hospital with minor cuts to her hands. Police say the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.

“At this time due to the lack of co-operation by the complainant police do not have the evidence to lay a charge in this matter,” said Hamilton police in a news release.

An 18-year-old woman who police believe was involved in the incident was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Investigators say she was turned over to a neighbouring police agency.

Police say the women are known to each other and the incident was targeted.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to contact the Central Station Staff Sergeant’s Office at 905-546-4725.
