Hamilton police investigate a suspicious package found at HMCS Star

Roads between Catharine and Ferguson streets closed for a few hours after police received reports of a suspicious package Friday morning at HMCS Star.

Officers made a post on X after 9 a.m. which reads that a package was in the area and asked residents to stay out of the surrounding area while they investigate.

Police told CHCH News at around 10 a.m. that the reports turned out the warning was “unfounded” and will reopen the roads shortly.

Roads are closed between Catherine and Ferguson.
