Hamilton police find meth lab in car

A man has been arrested after police say they discovered a meth lab in his vehicle.

OPP officers dismantled the alleged mobile drug lab today, after a police officer discovered the vehicle on Oak Knoll Park on Mountain Brow Boulevard on Saturday evening.

Hazmat officers and Hamilton firefighters were called to the scene due to chemicals inside the vehicle that could easily ignite.

The arresting officer suffered minor burns to his hands and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The 37-year-old suspect was also taken to hospital for observation due to exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, before being taken into custody.
