Hamilton police charge teen in September shooting

Hamilton police have charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with a shooting that happened in September 2021.

Police were called to the area of Sanford St. and Wilson St. shortly before 3 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Investigators say those involved in the shooting fled the area before police arrived.

However, a shell casing was located at the scene.

No injuries were reported.

On Thursday, Hamilton police said a teen had been arrested in relation to the incident.

He faces several weapons-related charges.

The teen is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
