Hamilton police charge man for sexual offense at Jackson Square

Hamilton police have identified and arrested a man in relation to a sexual offense that happened at Jackson Square at the end of July.
Police had previously sent out a release asking for help identifying a man who was seen masturbating at a commercial business in Jackson Square on July 23.
With the assistance of the public, police were able to identify and arrest Michael Ribeiro, 34, of Hamilton on Aug. 2 and charged him with sexual assault and performing an indecent act.

Police said the sexual assault charge stems from an incident on July 23, while the indecent act charge refers to a second, unrelated matter on July 30.
