Hamilton police charge a mother with criminal negligence

Hamilton Police have charged Michelle Vardy (37) with Criminal Negligence. On February 22nd Hamilton police were called to a fire located inside an apartment building near Glen road. Police found the woman inside a bedroom and a 3-year-old on the floor. They were both transported to a local hospital. After police investigation determined the fire was accidental they did find evidence that showed a lack of parental supervision.
