Hamilton police have charged two people in connection to a human trafficking investigation.

In September, a woman told police that she was being trafficked in the sex trade between July to August 2022.

The suspects were identified as Iftikhar Khan and Kendra Baverstock. Investigators say all of the money earned throughout the trafficking was turned over to the suspects.

On Jan. 19, Khan and Baverstock were located in the municipality of Trenton and were arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police.

The suspects have been held pending a bail hearing.
