Hamilton police charge 2 men, seize loaded gun during traffic stop

Hamilton police have charged two men and seized a loaded firearm during a traffic stop.
Shortly before 3 a.m. last night, officers said they noticed a vehicle travelling westbound on King St. East near Emerald St. North with a broken rear license plate light.
Police searched the vehicle and men during the traffic stop, and found crack cocaine, bullets and a loaded glock firearm.
A 25-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with four charges, including knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm.
Another 25-year-old man from Toronto is facing eight different charges, including prohibited firearm- loaded.
Both men have had their bail opposed.
