Hamilton Police called to another prowling incident

Hamilton Police were once again called to Westdale Wednesday night for reports of a potential prowler.

Officers searched the area of Cline St. and Westwood Ave. after getting reports of a man in the backyard of a home.

The canine unit searched the area around 2 a.m. but no arrests were made.

Wednesday’s incident comes after police were called to the area Tuesday night, after someone saw a man peering into her window.

Police say the man was standing on a garage, looking into the home.

In that case, the victim was able to give a description:

• white male
• early 20s
• blond hair
• wearing a black baseball cap

Police say there is a heightened sense of awareness in the neighbourhood because of other similar incidents.

They say while there are similarities in these cases, it’s too early to link them.
