Hamilton police arrest Waterford man for drug trafficking

Hamilton police have arrested a Waterford man for drug trafficking after witnessing the occupants of a parked vehicle using drugs inside it.

Authorities found the parked vehicle in the area of Wentworth and King streets shortly after 10 a.m. last Friday.

Officers searched the vehicle and the occupants, finding one male in possession of 12 grams of cannabis, 12 grams of crack cocaine, a working digital scale, and Canadian currency consistent with drug trafficking.

The 51-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, proceeds of a crime under $5,000, and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
