Hamilton police arrest man accused of sharing intimate images online

Hamilton police have arrested an 18-year-old man from Stoney Creek on Monday after intimate images were shared online.

In December of 2024,  authorities received two separate reports from female victims that photos and video of them had been shared on Snapchat by the same person.

An investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at a Stoney Creek Mountain residence where several electronic devices were seized.

The 18-year-old – who cannot be identified because of his age – has been charged with extortion and the non-consensual distribution of an intimate video and image.

Police say he used the names “abbiebaitzer” and “isaiahoply” on Snapchat and believe there may be other victims.
