Hamilton officer charged for unauthorized use of police databases

A Hamilton Police officer is facing several charges in connection with unauthorized use of police databases.
Myles Micallef was arrested on Monday in the Niagara region.
He’s a six-year member of the force, according to a Hamilton Police news release.
Micallef, 30, is charged with seven counts of breach of trust and nine counts of unauthorized use of a computer.
He’s been suspended with pay as required under the Police Service Act of Ontario and is scheduled to appear in court in Hamilton on Dec. 8.
