A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash on the Hamilton Mountain.

It happened just after 8 pm Wednesday on Upper Ottawa Street, between Limeridge Road East and Queensbury Drive.

Police say a motorcycle driver, believed to be 40 to 50 years old, is in serious condition after colliding with a sedan.

Hamilton paramedics say the man was thrown from his motorcycle over 100 feet, and was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with critical head injuries.

The scene of the crash has since re-opened following a police investigation.
