Hamilton motorcyclist charged after crash, driving wrong way while fleeing police

A collision involving a motorcycle and a commercial truck on Highway 403 Monday has resulted in charges being laid against the motorcyclist from Hamilton.

Ontario Provincial Police say that the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. on Highway 403 near Aberdeen Ave.

First responders say the motorcyclist refused medical treatment and attempted to flee the scene prior to police arriving.

OPP say while attempting to flee, the motorcyclist was heading the wrong way towards traffic before being arrested.

Officers have confirmed that the driver of the commercial truck involved was not injured in the incident.

The 47-year-old motorcyclist now faces five charges, including impaired driving, drug possession and flight from police.
