Hamilton man rushed to hospital after East end stabbing

A man has undergone emergency surgery in hospital after an overnight stabbing in East Hamilton.

Detectives are still investigating the scene Tuesday.

Police were called to the area of Lottridge and Lloyd streets just after 1 a.m. Tuesday where they found a man covered in blood.

Paramedics rushed him to Hamilton General Hospital, but police are waiting to talk to the man to find out what happened.

At this point Police don’t even know if they are looking for a suspect, or if the wounds may have been self-inflicted.

The Action Unit has been canvassing the area and taking statements.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area overnight to give them a call.
