Hamilton man gets time served, probation for stealing memorial plaque

A Hamilton man has plead guilty to stealing a memorial plaque in 2019.

The Dieppe Veterans’ Memorial Plaque had been stolen from the park at 1033 Beach Blvd.

Hamilton Police saw the plaque inside a car, during a traffic stop last August.

The plaque is valued at $30,000.

Robert Norton was sentenced to time served and 12 months probation.
