Hamilton police charge two men with possession of child pornography

UPDATE
Two Hamilton men are facing child exploitation charges following separate investigations by Hamilton police.
Back in September, members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit were contacted by the security department of a local business that reported one of their employees.
Officers executed a search warrant and seized a number of electronic that stored digital media.
Police say they found more than 500 digital media files of child pornography.
Eduardas Povilauskas, of Hamilton, was arrested on Oct. 28 and charged with possession of child pornography.
He was later released on a recognizance of bail.
On Oct. 31, a 37-year-old man was arrested in a separate incident after a search warrant was executed by members of the Hamilton Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), Technology Crime Unit and uniformed officers at a home in Hamilton.
Ryan Batchelor, 37, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. Police say a forensic examination of devices capable of storing digital media is ongoing and it is possible that more charges may be laid.
