Hamilton man charged with possession of child pornography

A 24-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested by the police service internet child exploitation unit or ICE for child pornography offences.

Police say they were investigating a male using a file storage application to upload child pornography.

On Thursday May 2,  police executed a search warrant at a Hamilton residence. David Welsh was charged with possession of child pornography and failure to comply with probation.

The ICE unit continues to investigate and say more charges could be laid.
