Hamilton police have charged a man with aggravated assault following a stabbing at Woodlands Park last month that left a 37-year-old man in critical condition.
Officers arrived around 12 p.m. on July 15 to an encampment in the park, where they found a man without vital signs.
Paramedics transported the man to hospital to undergo emergency surgery. Police say he has since been released.
On Thursday, investigators saw the suspect get out of a vehicle around 9 p.m. in the area of Sanford Avenue North and Cannon Street East. Mark Ribson, 62, was then arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
