Hamilton man charged in Aldershot vehicle thefts

A Hamilton man has been charged in the theft of two high-end vehicles in Aldershot.

Halton Regional Police say the man broke into the garage of an unoccupied house sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Inside the garage were two unlocked vehicles with the keys inside.

According to police, the man stole the two cars.

He was stopped by Hamilton Police while driving one of the cars Thursday afternoon.

Leon Robert Blais, faces several charges including two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

The 38-year-old is known to police.
