Hamilton man charged after police seize firearm, drugs

Police have arrested a 22-year-old Hamilton man following the seizure of a firearm and illicit drugs.

Hamilton police were called to the Melrose Ave. and Barton St. E area on Sept. 29 where they arrested a man who failed to comply with his release order.

After a search, police found a loaded firearm and a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl.

Jason Mercuri faces drug trafficking and firearm possession charges.
