Hamilton man assaults cab driver

A Hamilton man is facing assault charges after an interaction with a cab driver Tuesday night.

Police say the man took a taxi to a Tim Hortons on Highway 8.

Upon arrival, the man refused to pay the fare.

The driver confronted him and they began to argue.

The man assaulted to taxi driver, who suffered minor injuries.

Police arrested and charged the 37-year-old Hamilton man with failure to comply and assault.

He was released by police at the scene.
