Hamilton man arrested in shooting on the mountain

A 28-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested for shooting his father on Tuesday night, Hamilton Police say. 

Police were called to a home in the area of Upper Sherman and Lincoln Alexander Parkway for reports of a shooting.

A man, who had been shot in the leg, was taken to hospital.

Investigators say the victim had been involved in an altercation with his son. That interaction escalated and he was shot.

Police say the son was arrested without incident around 9:30 p.m. He is facing several firearm-related charges.
