Hamilton man, 2 teens arrested in stolen vehicle investigation

Two teenagers and a man from Hamilton have been arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation in Oakville.

Halton police were called to the area of Sandlewood Rd. and Stanfield Dr. around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.

Police received reports that someone was trying to break into vehicles in the area.

When officers arrived on scene, they found three people in possession of two vehicles that had been reported stolen from Hamilton and Halton.

A 13-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl, and a 24-year-old man were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The man also faces an additional charge of fail to comply with release order.

Police are not releasing his identity to protect the identity of the youth.

Investigators believe the trio is responsible for multiple vehicle entries in the area and further charges may be laid.
