Hamilton man, 19, arrested for human trafficking

A Hamilton teenager is facing human trafficking charges and police believe there may be more victims.

Alex La, 19, was arrested last Saturday at an east-end home in Hamilton.

Police allege La used drugs to persuade a young woman into the sex trade.

He is charged with robbery, trafficking in person, material benefit, procuring sexual services, advertising sexual services, and two counts each of point firearm and fail to comply with youth sentence.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are encouraging them to come forward.
