New Democrat Leader Jack Layton joins demonstrators at Hamilton City Hall calling on the Harper government to change its foreign investment policies.

Steelworkers blame those policies for the loss of thousands of jobs, pointing to the sale of Stelco to U..S. Steel and subsequent layoffs and lockouts, despite assurances that jobs would be protected if the federal government approved the sale.
