Hamilton issues cold alert

Hamilton’s medical officer of health has issued a cold alert for the city tonight. Cold weather alerts are issued when temperatures hit -15 degrees and below, or -20 with the wind chill.

The Salvation Army asks that you contact them if you see a person in need of shelter tonight.

The alert will remain in effect until a cancellation notice is issued.
