More than 1300 high school students from all across the province converged on McMaster University today to compete in the annual Engineering Olympics and the competition was stiff.
Students put it all on the line, testing their science, technology, engineering and math skills. St. Thomas More in Hamilton was looking to make a comeback this year, since going home empty handed in 2015. For these students this competition is about more then just their pride. They are competing for cash prizes for gold, silver and bronze that they will receive after enrolling at McMaster. In total $20,000 will be handed out.
Although the students at St. Thomas More didn’t place this year, they’re still leaving winners.
