Hamilton Health Sciences ends proof of vaccination for essential caregivers and visitors

Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) says it will no longer require essential caregivers, support persons or visitors to show proof of vaccination when visiting hospitals, starting today.
It says evidence of decreased community prevalence of COVID-19, including declining hospital admissions, high rates of vaccinations and zero outbreaks urged them to ease restrictions associated with its Family Presence Guideline.
All essential caregivers and visitors are will required to screen for symptoms of COVID-19 and wear a mask for the duration of the visit.
HHS says it will continue to provide medical masks to visitors, but those who choose to wear their own clean and well-fitted N95 or KN95 mask will be permitted to do so.
