Hamilton, Halton and Niagara to see hot and humid conditions on Tuesday

The summer sizzle returns on Tuesday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for areas in our region, including Hamilton, Halton and Niagara, because of hot and humid conditions.
The temperature is expected to hit 31 degrees C, with a humidex of 37 degrees C.

Overnight temperatures will remain very warm.
The weather agency says these conditions can pose a health risk, especially to older adults, infants and young children and people with chronic illnesses.
People should stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activity outdoors.
Cooler temperatures are expected Wednesday.
