Hamilton gathering celebrates founding of Pakistan

Hamilton’s Pakistani community gathered today alongside other residents and local politicians to commemorate the founding of Pakistan.

The Jinnah Cultural Society of Hamilton hosted its inaugural event commemorating the country’s independence in 1947. The gathering at Bishop Ryan Secondary School was jam-packed with speeches, songs and other performances, along with awards of distinction to children and community members.
