Hamilton Fire put out two early morning fires

Hamilton fire fighters had a busy day battling two separate blazes in the early morning hours.

The first was at the Embassy Night Club at 54 King St. East. Eight units arrived to the three storey building, the fire was in the back. The blaze was knocked down within 15 minutes according to a fire spokesperson.

The business has been closed for renovations and no one was inside at the time.

The fire is considered suspicious and is now being investigated by the Ontario Fire Marshal.
no arrests have been made.

The second fire was at a family home in Glanbrook. Fortunately the family of six living in the home were not there at the time.

Fire fighters were called to Dickenson Road West just after 5:30 this morning. When they arrived, the first floor of the home was in flames that were seen shooting out the front window.

Four adults and two children living in the house have not been seen for several days. A spokesperson for Hamilton Fire said a search was conducted and no one was found inside.

Damage to the home is estimated to be $350,000 and the fire’s cause is still under investigation.
