Hamilton father and daughter in serious condition after crash

A man and his 12-year-old daughter are being treated for serious injuries in hospital after their car collided with a tractor trailer Monday morning.

The crash happened at King and Dundurn, which police say is one of the most dangerous intersections in the city.

Fire fighters had to use the jaws of life to get the man and his daughter out of the wreck.

Police say the big rig was turning onto King St. when the crash happened. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.

Less than a month ago, an SUV hit a 14-year-old girl just down the street at Dundurn and Main. The teen was seriously injured.

Investigators are now canvassing the businesses in the area for surveillance footage.
