Hamilton extends hours at several voting locations

The City of Hamilton has extended hours at a number of voting locations Monday evening.

The city says several polling stations did not open at the required time of 10 a.m.

The following locations in Hamilton have had their hours extended beyond the 8 p.m. deadline:

  • Ward 3, Dream Centre: 9 p.m.
  • Ward 6, Richard Beasley Elementary School: 8:25 p.m.
  • Ward 6, Salvation Army Mountain Citadel: 8:15 p.m.
  • Ward 6, Huntington Park Recreation Centre: 8:05 p.m.
  • Ward 7, Sackville Hill Senior Centre: 8:13 p.m.
  • Ward 7, Lawfield Arena: 8:10 p.m.
  • Ward 8, Harmony Baptist Church: 8:06 p.m.
  • Ward 9, St. Paul’s: 8:10 p.m.
  • Ward 12, Royal Canadian Legion: 9:20 p.m.
  • Ward 13, Sir William Osler: 8:15 p.m.
  • Ward 13, Dundas Lions Memorial: 8:07 p.m.
  • Ward 13, Dundas Valley Secondary School: 8:45 p.m.

Voting in all other municipalities is scheduled to end at 8 p.m., and election results are expected soon after.
