Hamilton doctor disciplined

A Doctor on Hamilton mountain has been disciplined for professional misconduct.

Dr. Romulo Fanio Anastasio Jr. must now post signs in the waiting and examination rooms of his Upper Ottawa Street office, telling women he’s not permitted to do physical exams without the supervision of a female health professional.

He also has to send letters to all his female patients telling them this.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons imposed the restriction because Dr. Anastasio Jr. Was found to have acted inappropriately toward two of his patients.
