If you’ve been to Hamilton International Airport lately you may notice that it’s a little brighter and a bit more alive. That’s because this week a revitalization of its departure lounge and main arrivals area was completed.

Dina Carlucci, the head of marketing for the airport says that they wanted to get on board with the revitalization that’s happening in the city,

“With all of the growth, we felt it was timely for us to stand out of the crowd and choose a bold approach to our decor standards.”

Carlucci says they wanted to transform the tired space into something more uplifting, an energetic colour scheme, new lighting and a whole lot of Hamilton pride for those flying into the city.

Local firm Laundry Design Works created the look.  They were also handpicked for the redesign of Toronto’s iconic El Mocambo music venue.
