Hamilton couple killed in Thailand

A Hamilton mountain couple have died in Thailand.

It happened on New Year’s Day when the modified pick-up truck they were in went off the road and hit a pole on the island of Phuket. Kong-seng Sunthorn, 61, and Aryporn Sunthorn, 50, had moved to Canada from Laos in the 1970s. They were returning for the first time on a five-week trip to southeast Asia. Aryporn’s 82-year-old father was in the vehicle at the time and is in critical condition.
