Hamilton cop denied bail

Suspended Hamilton officer, Craig Ruthowsky who was arrested in last week’s project Project Pharaoh guns and gangs raids has been denied bail.

He faces five charges in connection with the Project Pharaoh raids Toronto Police conducted last week. Charges include conspiracy to traffic cocaine and participation in a criminal organization. He is a former Hamilton drug cop.

He has 17 years experience on the force but he was suspended in 2012, with pay, when he was charged criminally. Those charges were stayed, but he still faces Police Act charges.
